I have been reading everything I can find about the benefits of using RAW files. I have not done enough comparisons myself to make a personal judgement but wanted to ask a couple of questions to those on this forum that have experience with this.

I have seen comments made that you have more flexibility adjusting white balance, exposure, etc....I haven't found a program yet that allows you to adust exposure. What program are you guys using? I don't believe that File Viewer that cames with the G3 will allow you to adjust exposure.
I downloaded a trial version of Breeze Browser and couldn't find exposure adustment there either.

Also...when making adustments to your RAW files..Is the original file adjusted? or is the adjustment made during the conversion to .tif or .jpeg files? In other words, after I make adjustments, when I later use the RAW file, is it just as it came out of the camera, or does it reflect the adjustments that you made?

And finally...for those that routinely use RAW...do you truly see a significant difference? If so, are there certain types of shooting situations that you would be more like to see differences?

Thanks in advance for any information that you can give me.

Wendell
