Pekka - now that I have EE working nicely (with your invaluable help) I want to actually start using it for the purpose it was intended (heaven forbid!).

With all of the capabilities now built in to the upload/resize function I'm unsure where/which tool is the best place to resize/sharpen etc etc. I have the following tools at my disposal which I use in a variety of ways (but have never truely decided on a best and standard workflow) - CaptureOne Pro 1.2, Photoshop 7, Breezebrowser, Irfanview, Qimage. And then there is the complexity of color profiles which I never feel like I truely have a good handle on.

I'm always impressed by the quality of your images and was wondering what your overall workflow is. I get the impression from some of your other postings that the workflow described in your exhibitions may be somewhat out of date (no mention of C1 for instance).
If you have already described your complete workflow elsewhere just point me to the right spot.

Regards, Paul

By the way I use a D60 with L glass (sometimes an S50)

The color profile stuff is simple: convert to sRGB, assign to sRGB. sRGB is the standard PC monitor color space. Other option is to remove color space info completely, e.g. by converting to Lab and back.

About 10D workflow (for "master" photos):

First I work hard to get correct WB and exposure in Capture 1, this is very important thing for good "look".
I set sharpening to zero.
I convert to 16-bit TIFF.

I finetune colors with color balance command if needed.

Sharpening is done in PS with either plain old simple USM (.8/120/0 or so) or with Photokit Sharpener. With it I sharpen first with "4x5 positive film narrow" capture sharpener (with 50-100% layer transparency), then see what else is needed. Each image is different.

I reduce noise as last step, with Neat Image Pro. If you want the settings just ask.

Any while dots which may appear in high iso shots after Photokit I remove with noise-> dust&scratches (1/40).
