No, not the one in Washington, this one is on the shores of Loch Leven near Ballachulish in Scotland. ;)

Edited to put the house in the correct location. ;)

Spot on comp. John, the rocks do not cover your main target and also work great as a fg.

I've got to agree with Dimitri about the composition, John. Looks like a lovely spot, but I bet the windows stay shut during the 'midgie months' :D
I guess I've lost any sense of romance I ever had!

Thank you for your comments Dimitri, Trevor, Rog, Tony, and Jeff. :D My wife has always fancied staying in a little white cottage, and I'm sure that she wouldn't say no to this one!

That's the curse and benefit of these forums which is that it is nice to see lots of activity and new posts, but equally so, these new posts can quickly make others fall off the first page and into history.

I see what you mean.
And this is on the shore of Loch Leven, in between Glencoe village and Ballachullish.
What were you saying about memories?

You may be an old codger, but you're not too bad with your geography. Two corrections in as many days. Oops.

Thank you Andy.

A nearly there image, almost everything comes together very well, but I feel the house needs a little more room to breath, perhaps a gnats crochet more empty space on the left?

Thanks Les. I was also wondering about the tightness of this composition after someone pointed out the same issue in my Prince's Cairn thread. I'll certainly keep that in mind when I'm taking shots in the future.

Maybe a Jorgen W. McBush and his wife Lauren live there. ;)

I like the photo theme, the white really shows, but the boulders on the right are distracting me from the nice curve of the lake/pond/loch, which is supposed to slowly lure me into the house lines.

Thank you Mario. The boulders were actually an old rundown pier, and were essential to the shot (or at least to me not being submerged while taking the shot). ;)
