Pinouts

Anybody know the piots for the DC external socket. I want to be able to attach a homemade battery pack from AA bateries. ( for long field trips). There are 3 pins, obviously one for + one for - but i'm concerned that the third pin my be for feedback to the mains charger. I actually have a G3 but their list takes days to post.

Take a look at the label on the back of your power adapter/charger. Mine (a CA-560 for a G2) lists the pinouts. On mine, if you're looking at the connector with the beveled corners down, and the center ridge up, negative is on the left, and the center pin is positive.
