My oring for my AWDC30 (for my SD300) has stretched and now it won't seal the case up.
After a quick google search I found that the canon replacement is like $16+shipping
FOR AND O-RING?!??
I was just wondering if anyone had found a different type of replacement at the hardware store or maybe online?

Well after searching everywhere in town I found a suitable replacement at NAPA for $0.99 :)
It's a #43 o-ring if anyone cares. It's a ittle thinner than the original but only by 2-3mm and it works perfectly!

I have the same problem with AWDC30. The o-ring is impossible to find.
I'writing you from Italy, please can you tell me what is Napa? Where I can buy the o ring for a normal price? Thanks a lot since by now.

I'd test the seal at depth with no camera in before deciding you've got a good replacement. It may be the right dimensions overall, but if it doesn't fill the groove well, it won't compress to seal properly and you'll have saved $15 at the expense of your several hundred dollar camera.

If I was trying to keep several hundred dollars worth of camera gear dry I think I'd stick with the real thing. $16 is a lot cheaper than a new camera.
