Toroweap, NR Grand Canyon

I did a search and couldn't find any pictures so I thought I'd post a couple. This is a little visited area of the North Rim and is 60 miles on a dirt road from RT 89 outside Fredonia, AZ. The last 5 miles are very rough, you've got to have good tires and spares!

The Colorado is 3000 feet below you!

I would suspect the 60 miles on a dirt road keeps the crowds down.

Excellent shots. Thanks for taking the side trip there to share the view. The Grand Canyon area is one of my favorite destinations. Unfortunately I live 2000 miles from it so trips to the area are very infrequent.
