I have the same problem before!

Pekka tell me to

- You need to have "When image file is not found" in misc. settings at setting 2 or 3.

- Remove profiles command should be used in resizing. PHP function that handles image size retrieval (needed by Multiarea code) is flakey with photos with EXIF or IPTC.

Then it works now.

I'm using a Mac and multi-area navigation works in IE Explorer 5.2.2, but it does not work with Safari.

Multiarea navigation uses standard html image map. Perhaps Safari does not like image maps when they are after the image?

I don't know Pekka. Safari has some other problems like not showing style color in the exhibition drop down menus (all are white) and not highlighting the current exhibition in red. These features all work fine in IE 5.2. Although Safari was finally released from beta, it still has the "report bugs to Apple" button on the menu bar. Perhaps I should report these problems to Apple as well.

I found that I didn't have to remove the profile command, and it works fine,,

I'm not sure why, but it works now. I switched resizing to "remove profiles" and uploaded a few pics. It worked fine with the new pics, and to my surprize it also started working on the earlier pics with profiles. So I then enabled profiles again and it has been working fine ever since.
