Her dress really wasn't red. 24-70mm @ 55mm 1/125, f/6.3 @ iso 200 from across the street.

The selective coloring changes her place in the photo. That is, you've changed her into something else with a different purpose than that for which she was originally there. It's an interesting shot made more interesting by the color. Very nice.

Now, as to the sign.

It's as much the focus of the shot as the lady. It's centered and in focus. Therefore, I'm thinking she's a "Local Provision". ;)

Lol, very 'schindlers list'.

You have meade her look like a whore though. Or is it just me and my one-track mind?

Nice shot though, I do like it.

Hi,

This is a very nice photograph, It's difficult to pull ofselective color that fits, this one, works.

the fact that she is the only one in the picture and only "object" with color, for me, creates the sense of time travel. Call me crazy if you want.

I like this shot.

Ha, I didn't look at it that way, thanks for pointing it out. I think your right on the money though.

Is that her reflection on the left in the storefront window? What would it look like if you added some red there?

It is her reflection in the window. I thought about adding color there, but thought it might detract from her a little bit. Ill give it a shot though and see how it comes out, if its not to bad ill post it.

I colored in her dress in the reflection in the window. I don't know if I like it better this way or not. I let everyone else share their opinions on which is better.

Hmmm, that's a thinker. It would be nice if she wasn't reflected to begin with, huh?
Personally, I think it takes something away from the image when you color her reflection but, if you don't, it adds confusion to the shot.

I like the reflection colored, but maybe it should be faded a little more, making it a bit less noticeable, but still effective.

i really like the second one with the reflection edited. the first one really caught my eye but i felt something looked a little odd... and then it all made sense in second. great shot, love it. very good use of selective coloring.

I think your right, color in the reflection is a little too bright, ill tone it down a notch.

I like the red reflection because all of a sudden I'm not just looking at a lady in a red dress, I find my eyes drawn to different places in the picture, and I'm starting to notice everything. Nice.
