Some of the villages we were working with in the DR, Alegadon and Los Robles, started by the sugar cane owners for housing of the workers. Their 3rd gen Haitians that came to the DR to work.

Very nicely shot and, wow, makes you realize how blessed you are when you see others living in such conditions. My favorite is the last with, I'm assuming your wife, pushing the children on the swings. Great job!

I think it's nice to see what other people in the world go thru, it makes you think about how easy we have it.

Corey, this is a great set of pictures. The 1st and 4th are to my taste. Never been on Caribbean islands, but surely a place to visit. What was your reason to be there?

we were there helping out the villages, especially the kids. It was my 2nd straight year there, and while theres lots of American teams that go through, they all have a different purpose for going. Some are there to work o there water, or teach nutrition or health care etc, ours is aminly just to build relationships with the kids, by putting on a camp, baseball tourneys and throwing quincineros for the girls
More images of the people are here http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=189084

Great shots, I remember bringing pencils, crayons and paper when I went on a Jeep Safari there 13 years ago.
