I have purchased my PowerShot A95 fourteen months ago. The camera was working fine until last Monday. Then, with no apparent reason my camera started taking photos with horizontal lines. The viewer is working fine, only the pictures get the lines. I will try to attach a sample photo with my post. I have never dropped my camera. I have reset my camera and formatted the CF card. Also used another CF card. Nothing helped. I have contacted Cannon service. I hope that they will respond soon. Before I hear from them, I would like to know your opinion about the possible problem. In case I have to send my camera for repair, do you think that it is worth to do it? I am waiting for you opinions. Anna

Feel free to post an example. Horizontal lines are many kinds and causes.

I too am getting these horizontal lines. (I HAVE a Canon SD200 btw.) The viewer looks fine, and even the video mode is fine. The problem is in the picture, which looks like interlace. I wasn't having any problems before.
I did come back from a flight, and gone thru the x-ray twice. Think that could've caused a problem?
here are a couple examples
