raw won't convert to tiff

We shot some raw that just won't open to large tiff format.They show up as raw in File Viewer Utility but that's it.We also used Capture One Dslr,it shows up sometimes.We thought Lexar image recovery program would do it,but did not.Anyone ever have raw not opening?
The message we get in FVU when we try to convert the raw is:

ERROR Enojpeg4: jpgReadProLogFromMemory:SOI, EOI check failed.[COMPLIB_E_DOCFILECORRUPT]; FILE "jpgRCore.c", LINE 216

We have a Canon 1Ds but we don't think that has anything to do with it.
