Hi There
Whilst I'm quite impressed with my G3 I would like a DSLR. I use old normal SLRs. What I like to use is a 350mm or 500mm Mirror lens but I have not seen them mentioned relative to modern autofocus SLRs or DSLRs.
Manual focus is not a problem for me, can they be used?

Regards

Alan

The EOS dSLR's can be treated just like a film SLR. And EOS is an EOS is and EOS whether film based or digital. So, the answer is yes.

One caveat: it's harder to manual focus with your typical DSLR. The viewfinder is cropped to match the sensor size, so you're seeing a smaller image. The focus screen is typically a simple matte screen.

Not saying it's impossible, but it's not as easy as a 35mm with a split-prism focus screen, for example.

Naturally, this doesn't apply to something like the 1Ds.
