Power seat vs. 550ex

I set my camera on the floor in the back seat of my car and then reclined the seat until I heard the crunching sound of my flash, mounted on my camera, being smooshed. BAD MOVE! I guess this 550 ex will become my back-up as it now points down about 10 degrees from normal. It still seems to work OK.
I think I need a larger car or a smaller camera.
MORAL : Power seats win over cameras.

Ouch! There must be a thread here about what you CAN'T use your equipment for... It doesn't work as an automotive seat stop.

oh crap that sucks, will the flash not push back up to the 0 degree position or are you too afraid to try.

The head is a bit loose and wiggles. I think it will be relegated to light duty, eg: on a tripod as a second flash.
