This summer I happened to walk by the shore on calm day and took this pic. Comments on composition, colours, object? In my own eyes this is the most extraordinary and suggestive picture I ever took.
G3, freehand, manual exposure mode, F4.0, 1/400s. Picture cropped and sharpened.

I love this image. The composition is very strong, with the diagonal line across the frame created by the rocks. The small rock sticking out of the water adds visual interest. The reflections of the clouds give more visual interest. The textures in the rocks are great. This is just a wonderful image.

I think that this is a lovely image,

and it is quite something the way light fringes the rock as well as the reflected cloud. And as you said yourself, the leading lines are strong and the exposure is bang on in all respects. IT is a "minimalist"
But I do not think that it is extra ordinary. I think that it is a bit short on subject, color, and mood.

I think only YOU can say if this is the most extraordinary picture you've ever taken, as we have not seen them all, and also, that all of our tastes may vary.
I would say that this is a very excellent photo, and your skills will only improve now. Study this picture, and analyze what it is you like about it. Every aspect. Learn from it, and apply it to your photography. That's what I do when I take a picture that I think is exceptional. I ask myself why I like it, and what makes it so appealing... then try to add those elements to future photos.
It's truly beautiful. Congratulations.

Thank you all for your encouraging comments. I will certainly use the experiences from this pic in the future. And the comment on coulours was on the spot - increasing the saturation really makes the pic come alive in quite a different way.
Her's a reworked version:

It makes for a nice abstract and I certainly prefer the saturated version.

I agree that this is a wonderful photo! :)
re: the saturated version.. I think it works well on the rocks but to my eye then the reflection in the water looks overdone.
Are you familiar with the "History brush" in Photoshop?
You can apply the saturation to the whole photo,. then with the history brush away the saturation on whatever parts of the image you don't want to apply the changes too. It is much easier and more precise then trying to apply changes to a selection.

Nice photo although I like the original better. The rock at the top sticking out of the water all by itself is a very nice touch.
