Summer in the Sierras (56k warning)

Ok, so not exactly the Sierras, but there's still some ice on the mountain peaks. Went to Kirkwood Meadows and Silver Lake which are both near Lake Tahoe (about 20 miles).

Pics taken on 7/7/06 with my Canon Rebel XT and kit 18-55mm EF-S lens.

Not the greatest, but I think they turned out pretty good.

Here's a merged/stitched picture. The first I've done. You can clearly see the stitch line. Any tips on stitching pictures together better? I was using the included Canon Photostitch software by the way.

i like the pano. i'm new to panos, but i think it's best to shoot in manual mode and use the same exposure for each. also manual focus. i think some stitching software like ptgui will automatically blend exposures too.
