Well, I shot my first beach wedding and it was hot and bright and hard. Lots of shadows etc. I would have benefited greatly from someone holding a reflector for me. It was a lovely outdoor wedding though and I did my best with the crazy time constraints. I think that I may be using AV incorrectly though, I understand what it does but it seems to underexpose by one stop everytime. Is this a setting issue? Also, how does one make it still look a bit dark in the reception tent after? Mine are all a bit to well exposed I think. Would this be by dragging the shutter? Much to learn...I appreciate all of the people who have been doing this work for so long and their advise is always practised!
Here's a photo from yesterday with no post work done on it yet...Constructive criticism is always welcome. Thanks. Off to do a Greek wedding now!

I'm not sure about the pose in this one. It shows a lot of distance/separation between them, both looking off in their own direction. I'm not sure it shows unity, as a wedding photo should IMO. The exposure looks alright. You could have filled in her face a little with flash or reflector, as you said already.

I agree with dsze ... looks like a beautiful location though! Any more pics we can see?

Superfically ok, content I don't like. I want to see his face, this picture sets them apart rather than making them look together. I'd have put her more to the left, and used a wider aperture. Also the color saturation and contrast could both be bumped.

Re underexposing, go take a photo of something black, something white, something grey, and something red, and observe the histogram each time. Play with the EC until yo work it out. You'll learn a lot more that way than if someone just tells you the answer.
