My wife and I will be heading down to Pismo Beach next week to visit my folks, but the main reason for our visit is to go to the Central Coast Renaissance Festival (http://www.slofaire.com/) that's on July 15th & 16th.
My wife is a part of a re-enactment guild in the San Jose area and a small group of them are going to attend Saturday (don't know about Sunday) to see if this is something they want to get the rest of the guild interested in attending (they've mainly been a Scottish guild).
Hopefully it won't be too warm. There should be a lot of color and action.
