I removed the embedded link of the last 6 shots because I just found out of the rule of maximum 8 images for each thread.

Congratulations, it was a hard-earned victory.

Nice shots of the celebration. I wish I could have been there to feel the excitement as well.

Nice captures. But, I am glad I came home before all those folks swarmed the streets.

Maureen, actually all those folks are the funny part of it! :D
And, given the fact that in Italy we don't drink that much, this people is armless.

Congratulations ! ! ! !

I'm visiting Italy in two weeks time, and I can't wait ! - I'm hoping that the victory celebrations will still be going on when I get there . . . .

Oh well...two weeks of celebrations would be a little bit to much... something like Carnival in Brazil! :D
But don't worry... In Italy on summer, you will find other parties going on! ;)

ISO 3200 f2.8 does capture the mood of a city at night. Almost feel if I where there. Almost.

Thanks Kemcmanus and Aray_of_art!

Actually it was the first time I used extensively ISO 3200, and I was sorprised for the number of usable shots I got!

Your pictures have captured the moment of celebration in good detail and a wide range of people and buildings. You can almost feel the atmosphere as though your were there. Good captures and congrats on winning the world cup.

If the referee had gotten the decision right lets put it this way, ITALY would not have been there.:p:p:p

Grosso should have been carded for diving.
Anyways they are very good photos and you have captured the spirit beautifully.

In Italy we have a saying, that I'll try to translate in my bad english:
" If my grandfather had 7 balls, he would have been a pinball machine "

Thanks Nikolas! :D

That saying means nothing in English I'm afraid.

That saying means nothing in English I'm afraid.

It is very similar to, "If my aunty had balls she would be my uncle"

I think we all understood what he meant.......;) (i.e. if things had been different they would not be as they are now)
