During a recent trip around the Great Salt Lake in Utah, I stopped and did a 13 photo panoramic with my Rebel XT. At 100%, the size is 161 x 28", or roughly 13 x 2 FEET! I don't quite have the wall space to display it properly, so it will be digital indefinitely.
Enjoy,
Ed

Holy smokes batman!! Nothing but blue sky with a bit of clouds and some mountains.... I like the shot a lot! I can never get my shots to go together this well... Is there an easy way?

Lovely shot. just shows the sparse landscape out there. I can still see evidence of where it's been joined but only ever so slightly. Well done! :)

was this free handed? Tri-pod?
what setup did you use to get this pano done and what program did you use to join your photos?
Looks great and thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the great comments.
Yes, I used a tripod. I put the camera on Automatic as I was immediately next to the freeway. The least amount of time I hae to stand there with semis flying by, the better!
I used AutoStitch to join them together. I also did some minor adjustment of the levels to bring out the colors.

What time of day was it? If the sun was at an angle, and if your camera was on AWB, it should have given a different white balance at 180degrees, meaning your pics would have been difficult to merge (not impossible though).

Roughly 12-2pm. As far as the merge goes, I hardly did anything except run AutoStitch. I didn't even have any merge lines to clean up.
As you can see from the original merge, I did some cleanup (removal of lens flare and black area on lower left) in PS, but it was minimal.
