Wedding on Cape Cod, and the longest wedding day I've ever worked (left home at 7:30am, returned at 1:30am...then next day). I guess that's what happens when you have a "no time limit" package...

Not much flash in this series (only used it in #1).

Nice Jamie. I like the semi-muted colors in 3,4. Love that shadow on the wall in 8...something different. I love the idea, light and color in 3, but not sure if that pose works the best with her.

...forgot; I do like what you did with the veil in #3 on her arm though, and #1 is great!.

I agree. This was a challenging situation. The getting ready shots were at a motel, and this area was at the end of a dark hallway. I had about 10 minutes to scout out the location, and as soon as I saw the light coming through the louvers I knew I had to shoot her here. The shot I envisioned, was full length, with her leaning against the wall with her flowers straight down by her side...a little sultry. When we got to the spot, she didn't want any part of her touching the floor or the wall b/c it was pretty dirty in that corner.

So for the shot, I coaxed her into the corner by putting my hand out about two inches from the wall and telling her dhe could stop when she hit my hand. Two bridesmaids were crouched down below the frame making sure that neither the dress nor the veil touched the ground. I just couldn't pass up that light. The shot's straight out of the camera...

Thats hilarious! I'm glad you did what you had to do to get the shot though. The light and color is beautiful! ...and straight out of camera no less!

Jamie, Congratulations on your superb work here. Did you hand hold all shots here? They're sharp! No.8, could you explain the lighting technique? Any tripod use?
Thanks.

Thanks Tim. Everything's handheld, but I cheat...all of the shots here are either with the 17-55 IS or the 70-200 IS! I've tried to use a tripod, but I just end up tripping on it!

I lit #8 with a small video light from camera left, which I asked a groomsman to hold for me.
