Lovely scenery, #3 gets my vote too, but I like them all.

Great captures, but, on my monitor at least, they seem a little over saturated . . .

The squeezer stile ( #2 ) is my pick of the bunch.

Great shots Neil, esp #2 - I know it well! Am back up there for 2 weeks holiday in 3 weeks time - staying just outside Leyburn - can't wait!

I used a 1 stop ND grad to capture some of the clouds. After getting the saturation and colour balance in RAW shooter I did extra work in PS with Curves on both the sky and the style (separate layers with the sky masked for more control). Plus some sharpening to pull out the yellow litchen on the wall.

I also use a CPL filter to extract as much colour as possible.

Look out for West Burton, Aysgarth, the falls around Keld and anywhere in the area....it's all good!! :) I especially like the small roads between Hawes and Buckden or Leyburn and Kettlewell.....very dramatic and picturesque.

Neil, I lived up there for two years (left in 2004) so can't wait to get back to old stomping grounds. I love Wensleydale esp, but Swaledale is prob better for photography. Will be doing the usual haunts og Hawes, Kettlewell, Aysgarth, Scaleber Force, Castle Bolton, oh and not forgetting the Black Sheep Brewery, my old local!

Add to the list Stainforth force near Settle... :) the road towards Malestang (Hell Gill..) the list is endless....I can't wait for the weekend...my new Hitech ND filters and older just arrived...at last some real slow exposures.... :)

Some really nice shots Neil. Like the SS shots of the waterfall, a favourite technique of mine as well!

All are wonderful shots. I like the color and mood presented in each.
