Ok,
i have my S2 straight out of the box and it will not let me select continuous shooting. Is there a menu i need to change, or am i missing something? I am using a generic 1 gig card, i was _told_ was high speed but cannot tell. Please help!

Joel

If you are in auto mode, you can't use continuous shooting, you should be in P, Av, Tv or M, SCN and some other modes, but not auto
Also you can change the speed, selecting from the menu... you can shoot 2.4 fps in high speed
Check the manual, page 62

i do believe that certain shooting modes will not let you use this feature--what are you shooting in? Try turning it to Av or Tv--there are also to different continuous modes--normal and highspeed--to toggle between these two you need to enter the menu system.
hope this helps

If you choose high speed continuous shooting, you can be limited by the speed of your SD Card, but still is very fast ;-)

Isn't it set by the little button on the top next to the shutter button?
Just checked and it is, at least in AV with bracketing off.

Well, the way to set to continuous shooting is as waussie said, but you have to be in one of the shooting modes, except AUTO

Thanks guys!
That hits the mark perfectly, much appreciated.
