For the past few months, I've been wondering why all my shots have been coming out to dark,

only to realize that for some reason or another my camera is shooting at -2 (in I believe what's called the Auto Exposure Bracketing, i'm a novice forgive me folks).

It won't change from anything but that, except when I shoot in manual.

Somebody, Anybody PLEASE HELp

Lets try some basics:

camera should be in "P" mode,

Turn the camera on,

turn the on/off button above the thumb wheel on,

tap the shutter once (this is to get a meter reading, doesn't matter on what, could even be with the lens cap on)

Now rotate the thumb wheel clock wise (right) and see if the meter line moves from the -2 spot at all.

If not, try this:

Remove the battery and the backup battery (small round cap near the battery door) let the camera sit for 24hrs.

This may reset the camera.

If this doesn't work, call Canon tech support at 1-800-828-4040.

Good luck,
Jim
