Here is the link for the new Epson printer. It's just a better 2200 if you ask me. Not worth the price when you can get the 7600 for $2799.00 VS the 4000 pro at $2000.00

Swings and roundabouts here! It looks like it will be $1800, still a lot more than a 2200 but significantly less than a 7600 @$3000. The nice things about the 4000 are the 8 ink capability (the 7600 can do either matte black OR photoblack BUT it's time- and $-consuming to switch) so you choose which black to use in software, and the ability to use the 220 mL ink tanks (for $ savings compared to the 2200 but not to the 7600). It handles cut-sheets better than the 7600 but the 7600 has its own cutter. The 4000 still only does 17" wide prints. So, if 13" is too small and you don't need 24" , this fills the niche quite well. The initial steep capital outlay will be offset, if you print enough prints, by the cheaper consumable ink costs. You pays your money and you takes your choice!

I wonder if the 2200's replacement - with 8 inks - is right around the corner?
