For once and for all, please do NOT purchase ANYTHING from this store. I would not even purchase a cotton ball from them. They have a .24 rating at resellerratings.com and you can read a huge list of horrible stories about this store at: http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=digitalliquidators+scam

Here is the resellerrating page: http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2375.html

There are 8 pages of horror stories there.

ONLY buy from reputable stores recommended by reputable people. If in doubt, trust your instincts. Always check resellerratings.com. Ask people you know and trust. Use Google to search fro the store in question. It is a very valuable tool and can save you some major heartache and money. Digital Liquidators, HelloCamera are just among the few of ripoff camera dealers in Brooklyn.

Cruise this site, it will blow your mind: http://www.panix.com/~donwiss/pictures/BrooklynStores/

RFM,
I see you have found Crooklyn! I have done business w/ 3 places so far and have had no trouble and they are in no particular order:
1) Abe's of Maine
2) RitzCamera
3) B&H

It is interesting to mention that 2/3 are in NYC! I've only had one problem when ordering from B&H, this is ongoing and B&H aren't the problem, it is the US Mail. I'm beginning to wonder if someone fancied the Canon 16-35mm L more than getting it here. It was sent 24 Sept and is still not here as of 22 Oct. I talked w/ a rep last night and I have to wait 45 days before I can make a claim. Idunno.

Cheers from England,
Canuck

I tried to buy from these fools also. Along with all the idiots in Crooklyn. Yes, paid a little more but I've been using Ritz and Cardinal Camera. At least I can speak with someone that I can understand without a hassle.

Ritz is local and Cardinal was online. Better to just pay a little more and be safe than try the low ball pricing game and get screwed.

Abes was my first try at mail-order buying. The salesman lied, about everything I wanted to buy (of course!) and nothing that was sent was satisfactory. I took 6 months for the credit card company to straighten it out. Amusingly they gave me a credit twice, but they caught it!

You can buy from anyone.....but be prepared for hassles with any company with any number of complaints. Start by asking the BBB about the number of complaints they have for a store.

B&H is a good company. I've bought most of my gear from them, and they're always solid. Reasonably cheap, but not unbelievably cheap.

I'm going to have to visit the store sometime. I hear it's huge.
