2006 Dances at the Lakes

These were taken at the Lake Harriet Rose Garden in Minneapolis, MN on 7/8/06 in the evening. The light was wonderful, but constantly changing.

Several dance companies participated in this free performance. This has become an annual event, and there is a second performance in Duluth, MN this weekend (7/15/06) One of the dance companies travelled from the North Shore, about 5 hours away. Of course, next weekend Duluth is in their back yard.

I took these with a 70-200 f/2.8 IS. It's a great lens for this kind of work. These images are the unprocessed extracted JPGs, just resized.
