"DOFfed" Volleyball net

I recently had some vacation, giving me some occasion to try out new stuff and apply the few tips & tricks I could remember from the web. I also try to think "composition" more... Anyways, I think it's my best narrow DOF pic so far:

I don't have the EXIF right now at work, but I'm pretty sure I used the macro mode and the widest aperture.

I would take a little bit off of the left side, burn the edges and corners a little bit, and give it a slight warm tint.

It's a good subject - I think you should do it again and look for ... whatever you find that is interesting (so, how do you "look for" what you don't know? I don't know...).
