When I go to INPUT
and under PHOTOS
I select COPY, MOVE, OR DELETE PHOTOS
and then select one or more photos left
and then click on the RED BAR 'Delete selected photos from EE'

THEN those photos are deleted from the exhibition, but when I check with smartFTP they are not removed from my size folders, neither from my thumbs-folders

Is that normal?
And if so, how can I delete entire exhibitions (they take up space) so that everything is deleted? I wouldn't like to do that manually...

ALSO the button Find all orphan photos, does not find these photos that do not belong to an exhibition anymore.

I tested it again (uploaded 20 photos into 2 sizes and then deleted them, nothing remained) and it works here. What does ftp messages say, what does the report say? Did you refresh SmartFTP window?

Do a simplest possible test: add one photo to one size and delete it. What messages do you get?

I know only one clear bug when it leaves files behind: when photo is copied between exhibitions (so that each exhibition has own thumb folders) and you delete the photo: thumb and microthumb paths from OTHER exhibition(s) than the selected one are NOT deleted.

That feature is very experimental and in beta 4 (fix 1) it has still bugs.

I did a refresh in smartFTP
Here is the ftp message after deleting one picture from an exhibition:

msg 49524 | ftp
OFF: ERROR in connecting to '-----------'. Reason: ftp_connect(): php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known
[Wed Oct 22nd, 2003 16:58:15]

In this case microthumb & thumbs were removed correctly.

Found the problem.

I'm not sure how it happened, but in path setup the FTP Server for normal size was set to OFF.

setting it back to 'in my case' exhibitserver solved the problem.

One really has to stay clear and conscious while working with computers, pffew

Thank you,

Thanks for informing about success, too :)
