Just got an IXUS V the other day, and am so far very happy.

My only minor annoyance at the moment is the location where the images are downloaded to. Zoom Browser wants to download all images to "C:\Program Files\Canon\ZoomBrowser EX\Image Library One" but I'd much rather put them somewhere else. When the dialog comes up to get the photos of the camera and i chose 'browse' it only lets me move about in that directory structure, when i go all the way back to C:\ I can only see Program files, then Canon, etc.

Also, are there any upgrades/patches for the IXUS V and software around? I've already installed 'CANON_wia390.exe'.

I'm running on WinXP.

Thanks in advance.

Hi natslovR

you have to either inport the folder where you
want to download the pictures or just create a
new one with in the zoombr it self and locate it
where you wanted to be.
Just for the rec I use zoombr both for my Canon
PowerShot S20 and my Canon D30

I found out that XP doe NOT like Zoombrowser the hard way and lost stuff. Image Library 1 just disappeared one day. OW! I Loved the program but it wasn't safe. I use Windows Picture & Fax viewer and I am quite happy and it works PERFECTLY. I just put everything in to sub directories of My Pictures. Right click on the S30 in control panel with the S30 plugged in and change the program which downloads the camera photos. btw, now that they're safe in My Pictures you can transfer copies to Zoombrowser to play with.
Take care
