Seefutlung, a member here found this http://theonlinephotographer.blogspot.com/2006/06/great-photographers-on-internet.html
I laughed for 30sec straight while reading the critique of Henri Cartier-Bresson.

MY GOD! That is hilarious!

The irony of it all, of course, is that not one of the people who commented recognised the photos nor did they recognise the names of the photographers.
I mean, come on! Alex Webb, of all people. I also think it's great how half of the commenters tried to criticise the equipment used. "your shadow detail's are all lost you need to get a camera with a bigger dynamic range perhaps you could try Fuji S3 I here it has biggest dynamic range of all"

Priceless.

I hadn't read that before, but after seriously going through each criticism, I feel the images submitted for review did not reach their full potential due to the lack of internet criticisms when they were published. ;)

I got a kick out of the comment that criticizes Henri-Cartier Bresson's use of AF.
And the first "critique" on Irving Penn's work wasn't too shabby either,
Hopefully Penn took the advice and eventually ended up going pro.

Good laughs, thanks for posting, lol.

Famous photographers are also humans and do make mistakes. Ever thought of that? Hmm....

This goes to show that pictures are totally subjective.
Just like one's bokeh is another's rubbish. Classic example is people often a picture taken with an L lens are often praised but the same picture taken with a non-L generates all kinds of pointers. Ironically both pictures can be taken with the same lens...

The blogger is himself as much a "politically correct" sheep, toeing the line of his own flock as are the online forum people whom he satirises.

This is why the internet is so awesome...

About Irving Penn's image: "If you don't care aboout your PROFESSIONALISM you are never going to get work as a pro believe me!!! " This is just hysterical...this guy should write for National Lampoon.

P.S. If you don't know who Irving Penn is:
