Pekka thanks for your help before.. my friend figured out what i was doing wrong... i just didn't use the full ftp path in the ftp servers setup... thats why i wasnt able to use the built in ftp uploading... im trying it now, and it works like a charm.. now to have my host add image magick and exif modules to my site so i can use those too.
