I noticed this interesting effect of sunlight on a vase.

Nice colors and effect, good composition also.
Just 3 minor details:
Foot of the vase cropped a bit to tight, logo shows, and the table is not at level.
Besides these small details it is very nice.

This optical effect is called caustics It's caused by light waves passing through a reflective or refractive material (this case the vase can be liquids too) onto a diffuse surface, Light gets sorta bounced around and amplified I guess. Past that statement it confuses me, never was much good at physics ;)
Nice shot.

Lighting conditions were just right, so I took another photo with more careful framing and label removed!
By the way, no PP or crop, RAW converted to jpg.

I suppose that you are aware that the semi negative space on the right of the image up top lends itself perfectly to commercial art. You have allowed an excellent area to showcase type for an appropriate ad-copy drop, or editorial lead. You seem to do this in a number of your postings... which of course is a negotiable talent. Are you working with a clip-art service? If not, you should.
BTW.... love it that the shadow on the wall does not originate at the base of the vase. Nice work.

Hmmm. invites me to explore the various lights, reflections, colors, shadows. Great scene, and the red gives me a warm, sweet feeling. Somehow the little triangled reflection above the glass attracts my eye very much and gives the shot something that elevates it definitely from a product shot.
cheers

Thank you very much for your comments Ted and Roland. They certainly make me think more deeply as to what I am trying to achieve!
