Hello all

I am working on a website which lists information on tourist attractions through the UK.

At the moment the site is sadly lacking with content for certain parts of the UK and I would be grateful for (paid) help with the project.

You will need to be located in the UK and have a digital camera (or access to one) in order to be eligible.

If this sounds like it might be of interest, please get in touch by MSN Messenger on <my username here> @hotmail.com

Thanks a lot.

How about posting the website address so we can have a look and see which parts of the country are missing?

I'm based in Norfolk, specifically Norwich.

Sorry, guys... I'm not here often so apologies for not having got back to you.

How about posting the website address so we can have a look and see which parts of the country are missing?

I wasn't sure if that was allowed... but since you ask, the web address is http://www.ukattraction.com and there's more information about the freelance scheme available at http://www.ukattraction.com/contribute.htm

Hope this helps...

Northern Ireland is indeed in the UK, so 'yes... it's included'. ;)

N-u-T... I don't think we have much.

Norwich... I think we have a fair bit for the city, but lots of gaps for outlying towns and villages.

The money seems a bit low (for just a shot used, and using your own time to do.. and then also writing a little explanation also) but maybe people already have the shots without having to pay for gas.

Nice idea, but a tad confusing. Why am I getting adverts for Stanstead Airport when I'm looking for attractions in North Shields

Oh and Tynemouth Priory should be in Tynemouth not North Shields :)

I also agree with Wazza that the money seems a bit low, add to that the minimum invoice for 12. But hey I'm just an old git these day's.

Adam. If your a student = in need of cash, and want to do a write up for Sunderland glass works I have got a few shots from a recent visit your welcome to use. Also I happen to have a load of photos of Wet N Wild, the UK's largest indoor water theme park (well I've got to get me advert in somewhere!) located in North Shields. Just happen to run all the engineering there :)

Where it perhaps works best is where you have places nearby with multiple attractions (ie. cities). If you're somewhere where attractions are more scattered then it doesn't work as well for gas reasons, you're right, but we do have city-based folk earning in the region of £100 a day with it.

The other way of looking at, as some freelancers do, is to take photographs at places when you happen to be there anyway. Doing it this way, you're not incurring additional fuel expenses.

Hope this helps.

That'll be AdSense. It isn't always perfect unfortunately but it does usually do a reasonable job of accurate matching.

Thanks... that's been moved.

Money issue... hopefully addressed above. It won't suit everyone but it does suit quite a lot of people. We have around 20 freelancers currently submitting fairly regularly.

The minimum number for the invoice is just to reduce on admin. We don't really want to be getting invoices for £12 or £16 as it'd mean we're spending a lot of time processing payments. I don't think a minimum invoice of £48 is too much to ask... certainly never had anyone pick up on that issue before.

Cheers for the offer Phil, but I'm alot more confident taking photos then writing things up!

Hope nobody minds but just digging up an old topic to let you know that this opportunity is still available.

Lots of places now covered (we have details on over 10,000 attractions) but still lots to go at... :)
