These are my first concert photos taken with my new camera. The lighting blew at this venue(as usual) and i squirmed my way on to the side of the stage, so it was kind of hard to get good head on shots.

Whoa! 1/50s; f/2 at ISO 3200? That's pretty dim! You managed nicely though. I like #1,2 and 6, but some images I'd crop closer. (well, actually, *all* images need to be cropped at least a bit)

the bass player pic is my favorite.
the off-angle perspective is ok for a novelty, but not an entire gallery, imo.

Where were you during the show? I hate shooting at this club. No barricade and because it's not a place where most bands come through, when a band does play there it's usually packed. The house lights aren't the greatest here either and unless a band brings its own lights there isn't much to work with.

Thanks René. Yeah, like i was saying, its nto the best place to take photos, I havent gotten a chance to fully edit these yet. i wish i could have done some more in camera processing. but i was actually ON the stage and the only lenses i have that fit the 5D, are my 50mm and my 70-200. so, i was kinda limited to a certain focal length.

i agree. i always forget about that while im taking the photos.

I was actually on the stage, right at the top of the steps that the band uses to get on stage. i agree though, i cannot stand shooting at this place, but make believe is one of my favorite bands and i couldnt pass up the chance to shoot 'em. are you from around here?

I'm from Maryland. Every so often I go to the Chameleon for shows. Though it is better than shooting at Shakey's in Hershey! We got killed in there..
