Has anyone ever used this Lens on the 10D, or the 300D? I would also like to know how it would perform using the Tamero 2X Extender to make it an 800mm Lens.

I used this lens briefly on the 10D. It's a pretty good lens. It's one of Tamron's most highly regarded lenses. I do prefer the canon 100-400L, but it's also twice the price of the Tamron. The AF hunts a bit on the 10D and the AF speed is would be considered a bit slow compared to Canon's USM or Sigma's HSM, but if you take your time with it, you can get some really nice shots worthy of your efforts. I also have an excellent copy of Tamron's 28-200 with the same characteristics but the 200-400 is a bit sharper. I never used it with the 2x teleconverter so I don't know what characteristics would be present.
The thing with Tamron is that you either get a great lens, or not so great. It varies from copy to copy, but the 200-400 5.6 is one of the better choices from Tamron.
Take care,
David

Thanks, David. I'll just have to save up my money and get the best I can for my low budget. Haha!
