Brown Pelican?

My first flying shot, of a Brown Pelican I think. Sharpening in ACR and usm. I aspire to shoot like some of the Masters on this board and with your guidance maybe one day...
Just loaded CS2 (upgrade from Elements) so lots to learn there too. Living in urban LA
requires extra effort to capture our feathered friends. XT w/400 5.6 iso400 1/2500

The shot looks pretty sharp and I like the angle. I would suggest a little more room on the right for the bird to fly into and exposure compensation of at least +1/3 when shooting birds in the sky. Perhaps +2/3 in this case since this pelican's color is quite dark. Looks good!

Thanks for the tips Gary. Does upping the exposure in ACR work as well (or the same) as adjusting it on the camera?
