Nice shots of a Red Admiral. Prefer #2 as it includes more of the surroundings.

Large areas of black on the red admiral make exposure difficult and it's very easy to wash out the red colour, which your shots have not done. You lost the head in shadow on number 1, but number 2 is very nice.
