i work at a summer camp, and bring my camera to work a lot to keep myself entertained. I don't work for the pictures i take, just take em as they come and try to stay chill and loose. these images have had an effect on me in that i've gone to this camp for 14 years, first as a 6 year old camper, and moving up in the ranks to being a counselor for the past 5 summers. through the camp i met my whole group of best friends i've had for almost 7 years, it's just always been a big part of my life. in taking these pictures i've noticed my own emotion concerning past summers have resurfaced. long story short, i'd love to hear what you think. thanks.

Defintely did a good job capturing the camp. I can feel the story about it. Lots of variation. Good compositions. In the poor, my small crique, is I wish you didn't cut off her foot. On the last, I wish there was more of the girl's face. But those are very small.
Would look great in a brochure though(although you would need model releases for that). :)

thank you guys. i am actually taking pictures for the brochure, the kids all sign releases for photos and video before they come, so it's no problem. but the brochure material isn't the stuff that interests me at all really, it's way too generic i think. thank you for the kind words all.

i think every kid should go to summer camp at least once, deff.
for my b+w conversion, i honestly have no set process. sometimes color tweaks then greyscale, levels and curves, and i have a couple actions i use either in combination or seperately. here's a few more that i thought came out well. what i like is i'm usually such a calculated shooter with compositional rules and color scheme in my head, here i just kind of let go (notice centered head). but for some reason this doesn't bother me with these.
thank you for all the comments, keep em coming if you want :):)

Both sets are really, really good.. the last one in the first set doesn't appeal as much, though, perhaps because you can't see as much of her face. Very nice photos, the angles and framing are fantastic. How do you do your black and white conversions?
