I would check and double check the details but I'm fairly certain most modern EOSs have a 6v sync so you probably be OK.
But please check or hopefully someone else here will confirm.

Don't believe anybody. Measure it for yourself.
Find the connector where the flash physically attaches to the camera. Turn the flash on and let it "wind up". Put a voltmeter across the connector, with it set for DC volts.
If you see 5 or 6 volts, then that is safe. If you see 170 volts or something, it probably is not safe.

I am certain that my 10D is 5v, which would indicate the D60 is the same.
If the system is worth that much buy it anyway! That is a great deal!
