Doing "original number + 0.5 x original number + 0.1 x original number" in your head doesn't take very long.
If you can't be bothered doing that, finding the calculator on your computer and multiplying is faster.

lol,.. having to go home,. turn on your pc,. wait for it to boot, load your browser and then click a link,. this is what I meant by complicated :)
Even if one were to print the chart,. the in the time it would take you to pull the paper out of your wallet and unfold it and read the tiny print,. I would have done the math for half a dozen lenses or more :)
Don't get me wrong, the chart is noce and illustrates the "equivilent focal length" for those just getting the gist of things. But really are we that bad at math?
