At the airport.. found a fee computer.. WOOOOOHOOOO i'm going to africa......plus i was 7 LBS over wieght.... oh well.

Have an amazing time all. I look forward to the stories from your adventures and some great pics of course. Enjoy it, Africa is amazing place and they say that a person can leave africa, but africa will never leave the person.

Hey

No photos yet. This is typed from a internet cafe in Windhoek.

We arrived all safely. US party lost their bags somewhere between Johannesburg and Windhoek. Hopefully it should arrive later today.

It is really nice hear. Not to hot at the moment at 10>15 in the morning. But it will get hoter later today.

We are here... well tommy and I are the other folks have gone to pick up the second rig so us non-drivers went for a walk to a very nice cafe to give y'all an update...

With the exception of jake getting his butt poked on the airplane, Pat spending sixteen hours schmoozing the flight attendants with jolly ranchers and the rest of us alternating between cracking jokes and teaching everyone on the plane how to change the appertures on their new cameras we had a pretty uneventful flight.. So, far i'm the only one jetlagged last night was the longest of my life I'd rather have been back on the Johannesburg to Windeok flight with the smelly guy. but, dawn showed up and with it the sounds and sights of the city.. which are incredible and would take way too long to describe.. plus, there will be pictures eventually..... we couldn't even make it out of the hotel courtyard before the cameras showed up.... More updates to come later..

Glad to hear all arrived safely even if the luggage was on I hope only a minor detour.

For sure give us a picture of you all with the Bakkies before you set off (but whose camera on tripod or which local to trust with the camera to take the shot) ~ got to have something to whet our appetites for the "good" stuff to come :D

How lovely... an internet cafe. Thanks for keeping in touch all, looking forward to the photos you all post, even if I have to wait till you all return. Wow, the year has really gone by fast, I remember when Dave first posted... I certainly felt the call of travel, but, it has been great to see who did go and how it all came about

Yes sorry I have not updated the blog. I wanted to post photos there but there has ot been a place where I can upload photos so that will have to wait.
