Just came back from NYC (Manhattan) from a whole day of shooting. 12PM to 9PM, fun fun fun! I'll be posting those pictures soon enough.
We'll be going back next week if anyone wants to join us.

Chris, did you wind up going to any museums? I went to the movies yesterday and enjoyed some popcorn and air conditioning instead. But thanks for the invite.

How's the new lens? Which one did you get?

We mostly did street shooting, but went to the Museum of Natural History for about an hour. We all had such a fun time that we're likely going back next week, and I'm pretty sure that that won't be the last time we go this summer.

I sold my 70-200 f/4L and picked up a 70-200 f/2.8L non-IS, which to be honest, was a big improvement as far as possible situations. Normally I'd put away my f/4L if it was overcast, which it was yesterday. With the f/2.8L, I was able to extend my shooting well into the night. I think my last shot was taken at 9PM. Next stop, IS!

I'll be posting my shots in the Urban forum sooner or later, even though most of them are candids, you know, those candids if you catch my drift. ;)

Want to join us next week if our plan goes through? As always, we would love to have you. ;)

I haven't checked the boards lately but congrats on the 70-200 2.8! I just picked up the 24-105 f4IS. Gotta go out and play.
