I just got a ViewSonic VX2025 20.1 inch widescreen LCD monitor after nearly 8 years on my Dell CRT. As such, editing pictures is a lot different for me. I used to edit at 1152x864, and now I do it at 1680x1050. So, can you guys tell me if these pictures have weird coloring or something? They look normal on my monitor, but I haven't calibrated it very much and I want to make sure they don't look weird.

I call this one "Flys at Dinner":

Here is a nice little crab spider (with pollen on his front legs and mouth for some reason):

Here is a hoverfly who is sadly not hovering:

And finally, a spider (wolf?). I'm mad about that white piece of web that got in between his eyes and the lens. Oh well...:

Thanks for looking. Again, please tell me how the colors and images look. I want to make sure I'm not outputting images with bad color etc because my monitor isn't calibrated.

I think the colors aren't as warm as they are normally. Great series :D

That might be partially due to me ;). I've always liked cooler color temperatures to warmer ones.

They look excellent,if I as nitpicking then #1 &3 might be a tad oversaturated and #4 a little dark.

Man, TWO of these beasts would be awesome!

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.

LordV: I'll look into the saturation and brightness. I've always been partial to saturation, and it can get me into trouble ;).

I think the colors look good, but they are a bit dark on my screen. Great series btw ;)
