Several weeks ago many of us received an on-line survey that was supposedly from Canon. We were promised a free 96 MB CF Card for taking the survey (never had heard of a 96 MB card, but what the heck).

I was just wondering if anyone ever received their free card. I have not (not really surprised either).

No..I actually forgot about that survey. How long did they say it would take for it to be sent to us?

I remeber taking the survey,. but I don't even have a url?

As with rebates,. I would guess such a thing would take at least siz weeks, but I've waited two to 3 months for such things in the past as well.

Haven't received mine yet either...Hey, this thread is kinda like the "Dell 70/200 2.8 IS" threads! :O)

i contacted someone that had to do with the survey. they told me it will be some time before the survey is complete and all results are recorded. then, every goes to canon to be sent through their systems. so basicly, it'll be a while but he promised we'd get them...and he told me to contact him within 10 weeks if we hadn't received them

I just got an email from Canon saying (in my own words), "we ran out 'cause a lot of people responded to the survey, but wait another month, and we'll send yours to you"...

I got the same e-mail from Canon today, advising it would be a few weeks before the card was mailed due to the unanticipated high response.

This is the email I got form canon today on the free CF card.


Thank you for participating in the Canon EOS 10D Survey conducted by
CustomerSat, Inc. As indicated in your survey invitation, respondents
who completed the survey will be sent a 96M CF card.

Due to an overwhelming response to the survey, it has taken longer
than anticipated to fulfill the survey incentive. We expect to mail the CF
card to you within the next 3-4 weeks.

Thanks for you patience... and thank you again for your feedback. The
results of this survey will be used to provide you with better products
in the future.
