I have just completed my first digital job...I took photos of an event for a client on my 10D. The client wants the photos delivered on CD in JPEG format.
I am wondering how you folks do that--just a plain CD-R with the images burned onto it? What about the EXIF information? Do you do anything to remove it from the files? What information do you put on the label of the CD?
Also, this topic has been somewhat covered before, but I'll ask again: What about how much to charge? Usually, I would take care of that detail in advance, but this time the job was strictly volunteer. However, I think that the client will be happy with the results and they might possibly want tp hire me in the future.
I think this is what I'd be interested in doing:
- selling them the photos on a per photo basis
- selling them just the digital images--I don't want to be the middle man in a printing operation
- releasing all rights to the client so that they can use the photo for printed materail, web, etc, an unlimited number of times
- giving them the rights to alter the photo to suit their needs.
I apologize if these questions have been directly answered before!
Thanks in advance,
Brian
