My 20D threw a complete wobbly yesterday when none of the functions or buttons would work and it had a complete mind of it's own. Eventually after much resetting and battery pulling etc I have got to the stage where just about everything is back to normal except the auto focus on manual modes. I've tried all my lenses to no avial but it does function ok in the program modes. Anybody come accross this before or have a solution as I need a fully operational 20D so badly at the moment?
Any help greatly appreciated.

If you've reset it completely, i.e. pulled both batteries to reset everything to default and changed lenses to eliminate that as a culprit, then I think you may be down to a logic board problem or at least something that is going to require more sophisticated diagnostics than you can do at home. Time to call Canon.

Yep, I agree with Mark...

If it doesn't behave after a complete reset then its time to visit the Canon doctor.

Would it be worth trying to reinstall the firmware?
