Hi all this might be a long shot but I figure here might be a good place to poll people who would likely know.
January 2000 there was a special edition magazine that came out that I am trying to locate a copy of, only problem is I don't know who put it out.
It was a Special edition that showed pivital images from the previous century. Ones that most of us know very well like the image of the the man standing in front of the tank in Tiananmen Square, the young girl fleeing from her village in Vietnam after being a victum of napalm, and the infamous Kevin Carter image of a vulture stalking a baby girl in South Africa.
This special edition was not only really good because of the images but also the write-ups about the artists and I'm hoping I can find a copy of it somewhere again as at the time I only had a glance at it as a co-worker showed me all those years ago.
Can anyone help track it down? My Google searches have come up with nothing :(
Thanks in advance for your help!

Was it a Life Magazine special edition? I have one from 2005 called "Photography Exposed."

I wouldn't be surprised that there would be some of the pictures I'm referring to in the "Photogrpahy Exposed" edition of Life magazine but it's not specifically the one I'm looking for. It did come out early 2000 and was a century in review type overlook at images we all know. I checked the Life magazine website last week and was impressed that they have full historical images of past magazine covers but I couldn't find the one i'm looking for... but possibly if this special edition was put out by Life then maybe the cover image wasn't placed in the archives since it wasn't a regular monthly run mail out.
So many magazines could have put it out... i'm pretty sure it would not have been National Geo though cause those magazines are typically smaller then an average magazine.

Now I'm intrigued. I'll have to do some research. I am the mistress of Google, so I remain hopeful that I'll find something.

I've seen that one and

But these are both hardcover not soft cover magazines and don't have much in the way of Pulitzer prize winning images, both are very great books. I wish I could remember which magazine it was for sure, would make things SO much easier.

Here's a few of the images that the magazine i'm refering to had in it as well as write-ups about the photographer and the image.

I have always been awed by those photos. I have a Time hardcover book that has photos of the last century along with a cd of radio broadcasts and commnetary. It still amazes me the emotions that they evoke, even though I have seen them many times over.. They inspire me to seek that shot that awes every one that see it.
