Hi All,

Currently i have canon G5 + raynox 1850 tele and i plan to buy a Tripod, i have been looking at Velbon maxi 347GB which i found very interesting from the review that i read.
Did anybody ever tried or used this tripod before?, i need your opinion about this.

I like the look of the Slik Sprint Mini with the built-on ballhead, it is a smaller tripod (43.3 inches max) but it is light plus I think that's plenty. I had a Velbon "Grounder" last year but I sold it fast after having serious quality issues. Now I have a Bogen 3021 which is too heavy compare to the new tripods, and I have found a 15 years old 'Made in Japan' Vivitar aluminum tripod on Ebay for 10 bucks, which is just perfect for my G5. If I were you I look around on Ebay first. Good luck!

I concur about the slik - I use a sprint pro http://www.thkphoto.com/products/slik/slik-ss1.html (you can also see the min there). Goes up to 64 inches (actually closer to 70 inches fully extended), has an invertable head (head mount can be removed and flipped so head is under the tripod for macro shots), is very light (less than 2 pounds) for taking hiking and the legs splay out almost flat. I love it!
