I was taking some pictures of a basketball tournament and started to reach the capacity of my CF card, so I took a spare out of my camera bag and put it in my pocket. I ended up not using the spare card and forgot I had it in my pocket. It ended up going through the washing machine and dryer.
Just in case it was still wet inside I let it dry out for three days, then put it in my camera (a G2). The camera remained blank when I switch it on. No power up, no flicker - nothing at all. Okay, I really killed my CF card...
But when I tried to download a good CF card through the camera, Zoombrowser says no images on CF card. The images display fine on the camera in Review Mode. The pictures transfer fine with a CF card reader. When I go back to the camera it still says "No images on CF card".
So, a little advice - If you kill or damage a CF card DO NOT PUT IT IN YOUR CAMERA!!
