Caught this beauty while at the beach walking this weekend. This is straight off the camera - didn't bother to do any PP on it yet (too lazy!).

Good focus on the Monarch showing lovely colours and detail. These butterflys are amazing, they are so fragile yet migrate up to two thousand miles (the only butterfly to do so) from Canada in the fall to winter to in California or Mexico in their thousands, travelling over mountains, lakes etc.

Good to see an excellent capture of one.

Thanks everyone! I was glad to capture it - I never realized how beautiful they are until I had the time to study one on my screen. I love their spotted bodies!
